Get darker in the Chrome app for Android by following the simple instructions

Two simple words get the hearts of many wise users in the race with excitement: a dark state. This feature turns an app from displaying black text on a white background to display white text against a black background. While just as many way apps look at the dark mode, it actually serves a purpose. In a dark room, or at night, the bright white background can damage the eyes and irritate others nearby the phone. Google has added a dark mode to a number of applications that has been updated with design material because of these bright white background apps now.

According to Lifehacker, Dark Mode is now supported in the Google Chrome app for Android. If you're using the latest version of Chrome on your Android device (version 74 or higher), you can turn on dark mode by following a few simple steps:
  • Open the Chrome app.
  • Go to chrome: // flags.
  • Tap the "Enable" box for Dark UI on Android Chrome.
  • Restart Chrome.

Once you've completed these steps, go to definition > Dark mode. From there, you'll see the controls that allow you to turn on and turn off dark mode. Keep in mind that this is not yet a finished feature. Unlike the dark mode in Samsung's web browser, Chrome only works in the app's UI, and it's still not running on websites. Still, if you use Chrome in a dark room it gives you or your significant other headache, now you know what to do.
