Warnings are the tip of the iceberg, says the addiction consultant

A dramatic increase in prescriptions for opioid painkillers has caused a government plan to make clear warnings about the drugs, but a former drug user tells the BBC that it is not enough.

Nicky Harry was addicted to strong painkillers after knee surgery.

"When you are addicted to addiction, you do not care, you just have to accept your correction," said Ms. Harry, who is currently working as an addiction treatment counselor in the UK.
