"Texts that are sometimes too big for the theater"
Award Nestroy: Handke For his work of life, Peters and Simonischek was awarded the best actor.
"You're an incomparable one, and sometimes your words are just too big for the theater, but in the end!" With these words, actor Klaus Maria Brandauer honored the poet Peter Handke, who was honored for his work on Saturday in the 19th prize of the Nostroe Theater Award at the Anne der Wayne Theater. In his acceptance speech, the 75-year-old begged to return the theater to the same things that distinguish it: "language, confrontation, rhythm." As the representative of the next generation of playwrights, Ferdinand Schlammz won the best honor. The 33-year-old Strain, who came into contact with the theater as a student at Edmond at Linz Links, won an award for his Hopmenstahl entitled "Everybody (Dead)," which was first shown in Burgtheater.
Peter Simonishek, the candidate again and again, could not accept his first trophy as the best actor himself, because he had to stand on stage as a result of a change in image. The representative thanked his son Benedict, on the back of his speech was in large letters "Finally!" to read. Simonisk won the honor of the beloved Patriarch Effal in the performance of the Iyad Akhtar Academic Theater "Me and the Me".
Cargill Peters has won the Best Actress Award. Her roles in Simon Stone's Strindberg have already earned her the title of "Actress of the Year" in a review of Theater Hot. Today she appears in the comedy "Seneca Wortman" in the film "The First Cinema".
Twice the German director Ulrich Rachah landed. The best performance in German was given to a spectacular directing of the "Prizes" of Aysilos at the Salzburg Festival. Already in 2017, his production Mnchner "Rover" was praised in this category.
Nestroy for the role of the best supporter went to the German actress Drte Lyssewski. She was honored for her Annemarie Krause at the Theater Theater Academy "Before Sunrise" by Mhlviertlers Ewald Palmetshofer after Gerhart Hauptmann. Cultural journalist Karin Katherine (80) was also honored. After 19 years, she resigned the chairman of the jury of Nastroy and received Nestroy's honor.
