Weir: 53 years old was seriously injured in the forest
When he was working in the woods of Vier (the Steyrland quarter), he was 53 so badly wounded that he had to be picked up by the rescue helicopter.
The man from the Steyrland region worked with his eighty-year-old father on forests on Saturday, when a series of unfortunate circumstances led to the serious accident.
The two men wanted to drag a spruce from the forest with a winch mounted on a tractor. The crane controlled a 53-year-old with a remote control. When the trunk was drawn, it was on the suddenly rolling forest road.
The man is caught by the steel cable and throws away from the forest road. He was seriously injured in the lower leg and shoulder. He still managed to reach his son at home using his mobile phone. It ended the emergency services.
The seriously wounded man was flown with a rescue helicopter "Christophorus 15" at Amstetten State Hospital.
