On November 5, a team of children led by Dr. Alexander Weil and Dr. Daniel Bursuk performed a 12-hour operation on a 2-year-old girl with hydrocephalus at Chu Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal. They cut the child's scalp from ear to ear, lowered her skull to pieces, emptied almost two liters of liquid from her brain and then hooked her skull back, like a child's wooden puzzle, restoring her head to reduce.
