Severe collision between bus and transport, pedestrian in Burnaby – BC

A woman was seriously injured after being hit and placed under the beach-side bus at Burnaby on Thursday night.

It happened around 7:00 pm on 6th and 16th.

CPR was performed on the woman in place, but it is not known if the patient survived.

The general duty of Burnaby RCMP, a criminal clash of collision and collision teams and analysts of the collision were all called to the scene to investigate.

Translink confirmed that her bus was involved in a clash with pedestrians on Thursday, but said she had no further information to share.

"At this point, we do not have full details about the circumstances of the incident and since it is now a regular investigation of the police, all references should be directed to the RCMP Burnaby," a spokesman said by email.

The traffic was closed on 6th Street between 15th and 17th avenues, and drivers were asked to avoid the area.

Anyone with information is requested to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
