A review in the journal Science to answer this question by combining nutrition scientists and researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health, Children's Hospital Boston, Ohio State University and others, in the hope of reaching broad-based agreements on macronutrients and chronic diseases.
According to David Ludwig, a professor in the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard School of Medicine and co-author of the study,
"This is a model of how we can overcome diet wars, our goal was to put together a team with different areas of expertise, and to identify areas of consensus without clarifying the differences."
The test showed that many parameters complicate the process of achieving a perfect carbohydrate-fat ratio. Biological compositions of people can influence how they react to different food compositions. While a diet like keto may be beneficial to some, it may not prove to be effective for others. Moreover, the quality of the nutrients should be given equal importance with the amount consumed. No single ratio, therefore, can be claimed to be optimal.

The amount of protein intake, for example, was largely unshakable. Low-carb diet and fat fats do not require high protein consumption.
