Minister FT: KL's drainage system works well, people do not need a litter – Metro News

The city's drainage system is not damaged, and it can cope with greenhouse gases and floods, says Abdul Abdul Samad.

However, the Federal Territories Minister said people need to change their attitude and mood.

"The drainage and irrigation have been around for so long and it works well, so it is our duty as citizens not Malta," he said after visiting the Bukit Bintang City Sales Gallery on Monday (November 19th).

Khalid said the city had a lot of ongoing construction projects and it was difficult for the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to monitor such sites to see if their work was affecting or clogs the drainage system.

"Sometimes it is caused by people dumping trash on the roads or into drains that clog the drainage system," he said.
