After being disappointed with the new iPhones, Apple unveils the new generation of MacBooks on Monday

Apple is hosting a launch event on Monday that will announce new products, including a redesigned MacBook Pro, CNBC reports.

Apple has a chance to increase sales before the holiday shopping season, especially since it is expected to announce more computers running on its own chips instead of Intel processors.

Recent computers running the company’s powerful M1 processor have “yielded” Mac growth, said Apple CEO Tim Cook in June. In the last three quarters ending June 2021, Apple sold $ 26 billion, an increase of nearly 33% compared to 19.59 $ 1 billion in the same period last year. “In fact, for Mac, the last three quarters have been their best,” Cook said in June.

Before the epidemic, which boosted sales of new computers, many customers and analysts feared that Apple was neglecting the MacBook in favor of new and growing businesses, such as the Apple Watch and iPhones. But Macs remain vital to Apple.

Last month, Apple announced and later launched new iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches, leaving the Apple Mac series as the main product line not updated this fall. The 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple’s flagship laptop, has not been updated since 2019 and today it uses Intel processors instead of the latest Apple chips.

If Apple announces new MacBook laptops on Monday, it will be the culmination of more than two years of completely revamping the entire Mac range.

Since 2019, Apple has replaced Intel processors with its own processors, called the M1, which offer a longer battery life and allow Apple to integrate its hardware and software more closely. Apple chips also enable new features, while providing enough power to run demanding applications.

To date, Apple has released four different Macs that use its new chips: the MacBook Air, the Mac Mini, the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the revamped iMac.

Apple appears to be redesigning the top MacBook Pros with its own chips and new ports, including space for an HDMI cable to connect the laptop to monitors and a magnetic charger, according to Bloomberg. It also works on an iMac with a larger screen and a Mac Mini desktop with more power, according to the report.

On Monday, Apple will likely offer a release date for macOS Monterey, the latest version of Mac software, which was announced in June but has not yet been officially released.
