Kaspersky Lab experts have discovered a new vulnerability in Microsoft Windows.
As RIA Novosti reports in reference to the company's information message, hackers try to take over an infected device.
It has been observed since the fall of 2018, this fifth vulnerability discovered in Windows, allowing hackers to secretly realize the remote control of the device.
According to Kaspersky Lab, to exploit this vulnerability, attackers use backdoor, a type of malicious software that allows attackers to secretly manage the device.
So, firstly, the "exe" file is launched on the device, and then it installs malware, which in turn loads the back door written in a legitimate component of Windows PowerShell.
However, he stressed that the use of legitimate PowerShell by hackers allows attackers to bypass standard protection mechanisms.
