In one of the most exciting artistic thefts in the world, thieves came out with seven paintings worth millions of dollars, including paintings by Picasso, Matisse, Mona and more.

A Romanian man and his accomplices were convicted of robbery in 2013, but none of the paintings were found, and experts in Romania believe that at least three of them were burned in an attempt to hide the evidence.

"The prosecutors against organized crime are investigating the finding of 800,000 euros ($ 91,344) signed by Picasso on Saturday night in the province of Tulce," they said in a statement.

Dutch citizens came to the Dutch embassy in Bucharest with the painting and said they found it in the southeastern province, they said.
