Singapore stocks rise Friday open; STI increased by 0.4% to 3,066.75, companies and markets news & leading stories

Singapore opened on Friday (November 16th), with the Strait Index rising by 0.4% or 12.22 points to 3,066.75 at 9:01 am, as the key indexes increased over the years in the US.

Gainers rose between 70 and 48, or three securities per two, after 23.8 million securities worth $ 49.9 million changed hands.

Among the most traded shares, Zyngel rose 0.3% or $ 0.01 to $ 3.06, with 3.3 million shares. Balance held 2.1% or $ 0.001 to $ 0.446 with 1.9 million traded shares.

Shares in the active index included Jardine Strategic Holdings, up 0.8% or $ 0.30 (S $ 0.41) to $ 36.03; And DBS Holdings, up 0.6% or $ 0.13 to $ 23.28.
