On Saturday, 632 PCR tests confirmed 632 infections with the new corona virus, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) announced. The rate of positive tests was 27.8 percent. According to the government, 411 people are being treated in hospitals, and 123 of them are in intensive care. Three patients with covid-19 died on Saturday.
Hospitals treat 13 covid patients more than the previous day, and the number of patients in need of intensive care has increased by four. According to the government, the youngest patient hospitalized with covid-19 is 32 years old, and the youngest patient in the intensive care unit is 35 years old.
According to NIJZ estimates, there are currently 12,258 cases of active infections in the country, which is one hundred more than the previous day.
The most active infections in the areas of Ovalno-Kraszka, Podarevska and Gorishka
According to the tracker data for covid-19, the highest number of active infections per 100,000 inhabitants is in the Ovalno-Kraszka, Podarevska and Goryszka regions, and the lowest in Gorniska, Korushka and Pomora. According to Seldilnik, Slovenia currently has four municipalities without active infections. These are Osilnitsa, Kostel, Hudos and Shalubi, all of which are among the smallest in terms of population.
Other indicators also point to another trend of the virus spreading in Slovenia. The average seven-day of approved cases is 947, an increase of 20 from the day before. In the last 14 days, 578 infections per 100,000 population have been confirmed, five more than the previous day.
According to the NIJZ, 1,139,497 people were vaccinated with one dose of the covid-19 vaccine, and 1,064,673 with all doses, which make up about 51 percent of the population.
