Grossman announced the timing of the next batch of the International Monetary Fund


Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Grossman said he expects to receive a new tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in December 2018.

He said that Ukraine will receive the next tranche from the IMF after the draft state budget approved 2019, reports Reuters.

Earlier it was reported that consideration by the Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) of a new program of cooperation with Ukraine is possible after the Verkhovna Rada approves the state budget for 2019.

Recall that on October 19, Ukraine and the IMF reached a working agreement on a new 14-month program of support for economic policy stand (SBA) for $ 3.9 billion, which will replace the Extended Financing Program (EFF). International Assistance Program Support is given to those countries that are not defaulted from the head of state.

Now Ukraine is cooperating with the IMF on the EFF program, which was approved in March 2015 and hits March 2019. The program provided Ukraine to receive about 17 billion USD with the first tranche of $ 5 billion, Ukraine was able to get with a slight delay the second tranche of this program for $ 1.7 billion in early August 2015, then there was a long break due to non-fulfillment of a number of political conditions crisis and change in government.

Earlier, the Board of the International Monetary Fund noted that they are ready to approve a new program to support economic policy of Ukraine only after a final review of heating tariffs in accordance with the increase in gas prices.
